Elliott Media has been invited to participate in the TAMS (Time Addressable Media Store) Working Group, founded by AWS, with further invitees including Thomson Reuters, BBC and Sky. TAMS, the open HTTP API, enabling storage, querying and access of segmented media over HTTP, is now gaining practical traction with major broadcasters as an exciting new technology. It’s thought that in the fullness of time, TAMS may become an underpinning video storage and sharing standard within the broadcast industry. Elliott Media, a member of the AWS working group, has committed resource to enabling a demonstration of the technology at IBC 2025. “TAMS is one of those disruptive technologies that may shape the landscape of broadcast,” comments James Elliott, founder and MD of Elliott Media. “We’re grateful to the group for the opportunity to demonstrate Elliott Media’s System Integration skills, as well as its broad knowledge of broadcast workflows, in facilitating the live demonstration of TAMS at this year’s IBC. We look forward to sharing our knowledge and progress with our industry partners this September in Amsterdam”.
